Satan misjudges God in presuming to prove that Job's faithfulness is bought by divine blessing; man misjudges God in presuming Him to be unworthy of trust because of His apparent connivance at evil, and often-seeming helplessness or unwillingness to deliver the persecuted righteous; Jesus justifies God on the cross, whole-heartedly embracing the will of His Father in His loving surrender to that will, manifesting the supreme triumph of God over all evil by the eternal establishment of His righteousness, thereby laying the foundation for the justification of sinful man.
