Jesus spoke in parables to conceal the mysteries of the Kingdom of heaven from unbelieving Israel on the eve of their final rejection of their long promised Messiah as a nation. At the same time He was on the cusp of the revelation of these mysteries to those who would receive Him, both among the nation of Israel, as well as among the Gentiles. Peter shares with us a glimpse of what being in the good of this Kingdom means to him and to those to whom he wrote, including ourselves, in these critical days of the coming to pass of the final revelation of the Kingdom of God on earth with Jesus' return for His people.
